I Realize you Might not Happen to Agree, But This is How I See it Anyway

...seems to be: *Do not put your head up above the parapet *Keep mum about what you really believe *In order 'not to frighten the horses' * At all costs - whatever else you do - don't stuff up our (presently excellent) chances at the upcoming general election... ...a cool, calculating approach to electoral politics is now all that is required, thank you very much... Power - political power - at all costs is all that is demanded these days... But didn't another once so memorably declare that Power   corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely . But what that Machievelli, or was it Donald J Trump?

Yes, we may not always agree - about everything; or pretty much anything (at all); but, hey, let's at least learn to be mildly civil about it... 

'Coz you can't tell me - as BBC World Radio itself did  the other day - that Brazil's current rate of 100 deaths per day is arguably still quite high, when even just a cursory view of Aotearoa-New Zealand's death rate over recent days, weeks and months suggests our own to be anything in the region of from 15 to 25 etcetera daily... ...and that  simply isn't regarded by NZ Media Inc as at all newsworthy... Duh, Brazil last I noticed has around 30-40 times our population, not just 4-6 times!   And on the selfsame BBC News this morning (or yesterday's) they suggested Covid-19's been showing a dramatic 90% decline globally over recent times... But hey, don't let that in any way interfere with the foreign intelligensia's feting of, obsession and overall besotment with our P.M.'s covid-busting image, eh!

On the one hand, those already staunchly anti-big government supposing it to be yet another, albeit exponentially more threatening episode in the relentless behind-the-scenes push towards a one world government and/or 'Agenda 23' and the like... Others, generally naively embracing anything governmental provided considerable largesse is scattered here there and everywhere - helter-skelter with seeming abandon (and rather aimless in that process) - see it as not only perfectly legitimate, even desirable for the government at such moments to be giving us much duty of care (normally reserved for those with the maternal instinct dutifully looking out for their kith & kin), but that those who may in any way seek to question their motives and intentions to be whacko conspiracy theorists and other assorted misfits and malcontents... Whilst others simply see it as yet another relentless imposition upon the long-held and deeply-cherished freedoms and liberties of once thriving libert...
