Or is that inadvertent 'good news' which might be felt to reflect a little too positively on *Americans since the Covid-19 Pandemic started spreading its mayhem upon all and sundry...?

*I.e. especially upon its beleaguered Trump Administration, though they surely needn't fear anything like that, since President Trump et al's handling of the whole thing has been a well-acknowledged disaster from start to finish, from woe to go...or should that rather be 'from going to woe' ipso pronto?

...though in the 'latter' instance, i.e. vis-a-vis Sissii International's determined and seemingly successful efforts to eradicate the wonderful cultural artifacts of the ancient city of Palmyra - much as its African cousins did in that classical(ly named) centre of pre-civilization, i.e. Timbuktu  - the historian tasked with keeping its museum etc was valiantly prepared to 'be faithful unto death' (as the Book of Revelation  might have put it) in defending it to the death (as it sadly ultimately proved)...
