The Pope is right-on-the-ball when it comes to injustice(s) prevailing in the land, peoples' reputations and lives being [upended and destroyed] by deliberate, wilful misrepresentation and lies (and all the rest), Yours Truly is personally well-acquainted with that sort of thing...-but 'he should know', since as the latest model in the Vatican's long list of 'holy fathers', he comes from a class which regularly engaged throughout history in that very sort of sordid, despicable thing...and as for equating the 'suffering' Cardinal George Pell has undergone with the sufferings borne by the Lord Jesus Christ in His Passion, to even attempt to - credibly - make such a comparison is offensive to the utmost degree and extent...
For yes, Pell may well be entirely innocent of engaging in sordid acts with unconsenting others, but to spend years if not decades hiding such sickness from the powers that be, let alone refusing to acknowledge, expose, deal with it and punish the (ongoing) offenders, his fellow priests and prelates...
