I Realize you Might not Happen to Agree, But This is How I See it Anyway

Nuff Said, Folks... -there's quite simply no more needing to be added...

Yes, a haughty spirit doth indeed come before stumbling, and pride before a fall...

Like us (here in God's Own/Godzone) they've thus far beaten the dreaded coronavirus...i.e. they've had virtually NIL cases, fullstop (much less deaths) from COVID-19...and so they ought to be rewarded as we gradually de-thaw from lockdown etcetera...rather than the ever recalcitrant Aussies, who haven't completely beaten the dreaded lurgy (all over, anyhow, or at all consistently)... Ignoring Rarotonga and its other little compatriots surely sparks of a 'big-notingness' Aotearoa-New Zealand quite frankly shouldn't have a bar of in these supposedly enlightened days of ours... Why the heck oughtn't our bosom buddy island cousins be the very first cab off the rank, no, really?

...though I naturally will in subsequent blogposts (and additions to these four over the past two/three days) over coming days...

However, as another well-known student of humanity once put it, there are none so blind as those who will not see ... You see, fanaticism is an incurable condition from which very few ever escape, and whose victims and other 'collateral damage' are often legion... ...though history records one incredible example of someone who escaped from its clutches, and went on to help turn his world upside down for the LORD, the Apostle Saul/Paul, who ended up writing around a quarter of the New Testament, and was either author or chief 'actor' in over half of its 27-odd books...

...though in the 'latter' instance, i.e. vis-a-vis Sissii International's determined and seemingly successful efforts to eradicate the wonderful cultural artifacts of the ancient city of Palmyra - much as its African cousins did in that classical(ly named) centre of pre-civilization, i.e. Timbuktu  - the historian tasked with keeping its museum etc was valiantly prepared to 'be faithful unto death' (as the Book of Revelation  might have put it) in defending it to the death (as it sadly ultimately proved)... 

'Dreams are free', as they say, but in this instance the daydreamer (to be as nice as possible about it) is either upon some serious hallucinogenic substance or is, like her leader and boss, in the *process of losing her mind... *But with Mr Trump the process is now so far along that the case would appear to be irredeemable...

But yes, I do well understand how Ellison has been put between a rock and a hard place; as he later explained, in view of the dismal prospect in times past of such charges leading to actual conviction let alone serious sentencing - for police officers in the state of Minnesota, anyhow - his far more conservative, cautionary approach (my assessment and conclusion of the gist of his assessment of things) was more likely to result in a more significant outcome of prosecution against the police officer who killed Floyd, and apparently if warranted the charge could later be upped to first-degree murder. 

What more can I say/add? Nevertheless, though presently somewhat time-constrained, I intend to (in the not-too-distant hopefully)...

Of course I speak of erstwhile (and now, probably remaining - for awhile; but Donald J Trump has a long memory, and is well - or, rather, badly - noted for taking due utu, i.e. vengeance, upon any naysayers, 'traitors' and other 'rats' within the household) Secretary of Defence Mark Esper... ...who prior to his effective recantation - on the Oval Office-ordered deployment of active-duty federal troops to Washington D.C. in particular; but bearing upon their deployment throughout the States, I gather(ed) - gave one of the most carefully-calibrated, but well-enunciated, and moreover concise critiques - however indirect and policy-focussed - of Donald Trump's brand of erratic, self-serving despotism thus far heard... Trump's employment of the Insurrection Act and, arguably way more significant and concerning, his *self-serving and despicable use of a Bible to make his point outside a church which readily distanced itself from the same and roundly condemned the...
