And selfsame media still has the sheer gall and temerity to incredulously ask why so many increasingly turn from them in disgust as either purveyors of so-called 'fake news' or - to be duly charitable - folk whose 'impartiality' - 'balance' - 'fairplay' (all supposedly hallmarks of real deal journalism) are more and more held up to abjectest ridicule, scorn and derision...

Thus we see, in this our day of feminism the sharper edge of the double-sided sword...and thus and so bullying when instigated against the male gender is simply shrugged off and the offended are expected to stoically go on, when let a female display even a hair-breadth of sorrow or emotional pain, the world is expected to stop in its tracks, inhale a deep draught of sympathetic sadness, and then go out of its way to smooth the way for such to receive every last ounce of compassion whether well-deserved or otherwise...

The reason I deign to ask? Certainly not to seek - in any way, shape or form - to exonerate a self-confessed (and physically carbon-copy) 'thug and bully' fellow parliamentarian (the newest kid on the parliamentary blocks, so to speak), Tauranga M.P.-elect Sam Uppendall, from whatever he may well have coming to him... ... but rather to make the fairly significant point that many of his parliamentary fellow-travellers - if not he himself - better beware: those who live in glass-houses themselves oughta be the last ones out of the starting-blocks to hurl stones, let alone rocks... And to his and their credit, thus far they haven't risen to the bait and done so...
